The Minnesota Twins (74-84) followed up their 11-4 win over the Tigers Wednesday night with a 9-3 victory on Thursday -- scoring 20 runs against Detroit in two nights at Target Field.

The Twins fell behind early Thursday night at Target Field. Detroit scored one run in the first and two more in the second to take a 3-0 lead, but they wouldn't cross the plate again.

Minnesota scored five times in a third inning that featured Joe Mauer's 600th extra base hit -- a ground-rule double that scored a run.They'd send four more runs across the plate in the fifth, expanding their lead to 9-3

Stephen Gonsalves (2-2) picked up the win for the Twins, giving up two runs on three hits and four walks -- with a pair of strikeouts.
