The Twins have now lost 6 games in a row after falling 7-4 at New York to the Yankees Wednesday night. Miguel Sano hit a 1st inning 2-run home run but the Yankees came back with 4 runs in the 3rd inning.

The Tampa Bay Rays completed a 3-game sweep of the Twins with an 8-6 walk-off win Sunday afternoon at Tropicana Field.

St. Cloud State has hired former University of Minnesota assistant coach Brett Larson to replace Bob Motzko. Larson was introduced at a press conference this afternoon. He signed a 5-year contract.

The Twins blanked the Orioles 7-0 in Baltimore yesterday to take 2 of 3 from the Orioles over the weekend. Jose Berrios threw the complete game 3-hit shutout with 1 walk allowed and 6 strikeouts. He needed 102 pitched to complete the game.
Wild Down Stars 5-2 Thursday Night
The Minnesota Wild scored 3 2nd period goals and scored twice on the power play in their 5-2 win over the Dallas Stars last night. Mikael Granlund had a goal and 2 assists, Matt Dumba had a goal and 3 assists and Zach Parise scored twice for the Wild.
Orioles Walk-Off Twins in Season Opener
The Twins lost 3-2 in 11 innings in Baltimore yesterday on a walk-off solo home run from Adam Jones against Twins' closer Fernando Rodney. The Twins rallied to tie the game in the 9th inning on a 2-run bloop pinch hit single from Robbie Grossman.
SCSU’s Schuldt Named Hobey Baker Finalist
St. Cloud State junior defenseman Jimmy Schuldt has been named a top 10 finalist for the Hobey Baker award. The Hobey Baker award is given to the top Division I college hockey player each year.
Minnesota Vikings to Sign QB Kirk Cousins
According to multiple sources the Vikings have agreed to a 3-year $84 Million contract with free agent quarterback Kirk Cousins. The deal is reportedly guaranteed, but cannot become official until midnight because that's when the new NFL fiscal year begins.

Wild Top Islanders 6-4
The Minnesota Wild topped the New York Islanders 6-4 last night. Eric Staal scored a goal and added an assist, and Luke Kunin and Zack Mitchell each scored their first NHL goals. Minnesota also got goals from Marcus Foligno, Jason Zucker and Jonas Brodin.
