The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch for potions of Central Minnesota through Monday morning. Thunderstorms are expected over the area with several inches of rain possible, leading to potential flash flooding.

The  Flash Flood Watch includes these Minnesota counties: Anoka, Chisago,
Dakota, Goodhue, Hennepin, Isanti, Kanabec, Mille Lacs, Ramsey, Sherburne, Washington, and Wright.

A Tornado Watch is also in effect for much of the area until 9:00 Sunday night,

Very heavy rainfall associated with several rounds of thunderstorms may lead to flash flooding. Localized rainfall totals of 3 to 5 inches are possible.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation. You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
