High Fire Danger Across the Area Today

The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for dangerous fire weather conditions today across portions of Central Minnesota, including Stearns County.

The Red Flag Warning is in effect until 7:00 tonight.

From the National Wetaher Service this afternoon: Temperatures in the upper 50s to lower 60s will combine with low dewpoint temperatures to produce relative humidity values near 25% this afternoon. The fire danger is greatest in west central Minnesota where stronger winds will be present. As a result, a Fire Weather Watch is in effect this afternoon for that area.
