According to a new study, the average American spends over four years of their life escaping from reality. That number is based on about 13 hours a week of doing things that help us relax and leave our worries behind. Here are some popular ways people in the study got away from it all:

  • Listening to music or watching TV
  • Walking or exercising
  • Playing video games or reading
  • Exploring new places or planning vacations
