Happy National Drink Wine Day. It's been around for more than 6,000 years. During the Dark Ages, wine was consumed instead of water since water was often times unsafe to drink. It's know for it's health benefits and has played a big part in the history of humanity. Here's some interesting facts about our wine consumption.

How many glasses do you drink when you drink wine?:

  • 1-2 glasses - 74%
  • 3 glasses - 13%
  • 4 glasses - 3%
  • 5 glasses - 3%
  • 6 glasses (whole bottle) - 6% (37% said they have finished a whole before)

The survey also shows that 9% of people say wine gives them the worst hangovers. 42% of Americans think a $10 bottle of wine is a "nice" bottle. 24% think a $15 bottle is splurging.
