If you were born somewhere in the early 80's to mid-90's then you're a 'Millennial'. Now if you live in Minnesota then you're in the right place for a number of reasons, and here's why.

Wallethub just released their 2018 report on the best states in the country for millennials. They looked at a number of key metrics to come to this decision, which included population of millennials to millennial unemployment rate to millennial voter-turnout rate. Minnesota ranked 3rd overall, being topped by only North Dakota and the District of Columbia (Washington D.C.).

An interesting finding also came out of this study, showing that millennials have it much tougher than their parents! Wallethub found that the financial crisis remains a big part of the reason. Millennials have come of age and entered the workforce in the shadow of the Great Recession, which has significantly reduced their job prospects and earning potential for decades to come. By one estimate, millennials today earn 20 percent less than Baby Boomers did at the same age.
