I’ve seen some pretty awesome rock bands come and go in my time; Nirvana, Soundgarden, Van Halen (like 3 different times.) One band, however, has managed to maintain its status as the biggest band in the world for the last decade without breaking up due to cliche’ rock band drama. That band, dear reader, is Foo Fighters.

Dave Grohl is, without a doubt, the reigning king of rock-n-roll. To some, he will never escape being the barbaric, head banging drummer of Nirvana. But you gotta admit, he’s done pretty well for himself in the post-grunge era. Several documentaries, a TV series, and more grammys than you can count on both your hands, testify to his endless talent and ambition.

The Foo’s recently won their billionth Grammy for the song “Run” – an instant classic in their already impressive catalog of gnarly rock songs, and just announced a tour to support their latest album “Concrete and Gold.” They’ll be playing the Xcel Energy Center in Minneapolis on October 18th. I don’t know about you, but I’m stoked.
