Let's face it, being single has it's ups and downs. Where you live makes a huge difference in how you feel about it. Minnesota just made the 'singles' list!

Being single isn't all that bad if you are an independent person, but most of us would like to find the love of our life, no matter how much you love your single life.

Wallethub just released their annual list of the "Best & Worst Cities for Singles" and Minnesota made the top 10 list!

They came up with the list by looking at a few key elements - number of singles in the area, online dating opportunities, and how the nightlife is. Based on this data, Minneapolis came in #9 in the nation overall, and #2 in the nation for dating opportunities!

Here's the top 10 cities in the United States:

  1. San Francisco, CA
  2. Atlanta, GA
  3. Los Angeles, CA
  4. Denver, CO
  5. San Diego, CA
  6. Seattle, WA
  7. Chicago, IL
  8. Portland, OR
  9. Minneapolis, MN
  10. Portland, ME

I'm willing to bet that if Minnesota winters weren't so brutal, we'd have been higher on the list. On the other hand, there's nothing more romantic than talking to somebody next to a warm fire with a glass of wine and the snow falling outside the window...so maybe that played a small part?

If you're in any of these cities and single, it might be time to move if you want any chance of finding love. These were considered the worst cities to live in if you're single: Pembroke Pines, FL, Brownsville, TX, South Burlington, VT.
