Hurricane Ida and the increased demand on gas pushed gas prices up locally in the past week. St. Cloud State Economist and Dean, School of Public Affairs, King Banaian joined me on WJON today. He expects gas prices to drop slightly after Labor Day weekend and continue to fall through October.

He expects gas prices to remain fairly steady until Labor Day where he expects a slight increase. Banaian says demand is expected to be reduced after Labor Day which will lead to a slight drop in gas prices.
Gas prices have been on the rise lately and St. Cloud State Economist King Banaian joined me on WJON today. He expects gas prices to hit $3.20 a gallon by Labor Day before dropping this fall. Banaian says the demand for travel won't likely subside until after Labor Day which will force this uptick in prices.
With yet another winter storm on the way this weekend, it's hard to think of summer travel. However, we promise it will be here soon, and the gasoline bill shouldn't be too bad.
