October is here and that means that Halloween is in the air. Personally, I’ve always been a huge fan of Halloween and fall in general. It’s the one time of the year that you are socially allowed to suspend disbelief as an adult and become whatever you want to become.

Not only that, but as an adrenaline junkie, it’s always a good excuse to watch scary movies. Now, in my old age I find it difficult to get genuinely scared by films anymore, but there are a handful that I think are classics that I watch every Halloween season, even if they aren’t necessarily. Here are my top 10:

  1. Behind The Mask
  2. The Ring
  3. Repo: The Genetic Opera
  4. Sweeney Todd
  5. The Nightmare Before Christmas
  6. The Poughkeepsie Tapes
  7. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
  8. Saw
  9. The Omen
  10. The Shining
