The Minnesota Twins (71-81) completed the sweep over the Tigers, topping Detroit 8-2 Wednesday afternoon at Comerica Park.

The Twins got going early, driving in four runs across the plate in the top of the second inning. Then plated two more in the fourth for a 6-0 lead. The Twins lead 8-0 before Detroit finally scored 2 in the bottom of the ninth, and that's where things would end.

The Twins scored three in the sixth inning, and two more in the seventh for a 5-0 lead. Detroit would rally for two of their own in the seventh, and one in the bottom of the ninth -- and that's where things would end.

Ehire Adrianza went 3 for 4 at the plate for Minnesota with two doubles, and RBI, and three runs. Willians Astudillo was 2 for 4 with a double and three runs of his own.

Stephen Gonsalves pitched six innings for the Twins, giving up one hit and a walk, with no runs and two strikeouts.
