The Minnesota Twins (50-58) took the opening game of the weekend series at Target Field by beating the Royals 6-4 Friday night.

The Twins led 3-2 in the fifth inning when action resumed following a 90 minute rain delay -- and the Royals promptly took the 4-3 lead with a pair of runs in the top of the inning. The Twins fired right back scoring two of their own in the bottom of the fifth, to take back the lead at 5-4.
