Valentine's Day won't be the same. Even though I don't really care for these little candy hearts with the fun messages on them, they've been a staple of Valentine's Day as long as I can remember!

NECCO, the company that has made the Sweetheart brand hearts for decades, filed for bankruptcy last year. However, the Spangler Candy Company stepped in and purchased the brand. So while it looks like there WILL be Sweetheart candy hearts in the future, the new company has been so busy upgrading their facilities, that they weren't able to get these out in time for this year's Valentines Day.

The good news is that other companies will be making little hearts with cute sayings on them. They just won't be the originals.  Here's more on the story.
