Who should play the half-time show in 2019?

Christopher Polk

Is it really fitting for pop artists to be playing the Super-Bowl half time show? Justin Timberlake, no doubt, is a great talent, but do we really want bubble gum-pop music being played at the most rambunctious event of the year? Let’s take a look at some of the artists who have played the half time show in recent years.

2018 – Justin Timberlake

2017 – Lady Gaga

2016 – Coldplay

2015 – Katy Perry

2014 – Bruno Mars

2013 – Beyonce’

2012 – Madonna

2011 – The Black Eyed Peas

Seriously?!? The past EIGHT half time shows have been performed by pop artists. I think that we can all agree that the Super-Bowl just isn’t the right event for Coldplay to play. Can we all ban together just this once and hire AC/DC to be the house band for the Super-Bowl forever? Who do you think should play the half time show in 2019?
