The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Warning in effect from Midnight tonight through Noon Friday for portions of central Minnesota including Stearns, Todd, Douglas, Pope, Kandiyohi, and Meeker counties.

Wind chills in the warning area are expected to drop to -34° to -40° overnight into Friday morning.

A Wind Chill Advisory has been issued for areas north and east of St. Cloud including Benton, Sherburne, Morrison, Mille Lacs, and Wright counties.

Wind chills in the advisory area are expected to drop to -20° to -30° overnight into Friday morning.

From the National Weather Service this evening: A shorter & less intense period of cold than our last outbreak will arrive behind the departing system. Expect wind chills of -25 to -35 across Minnesota, colder in the west, with Saturday seeing only a slight improvement.
