The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for most of Central Minnesota in effect through 6 AM Tuesday morning. 6-10" inches of accumulation expected by morning in the St. Cloud area.

In addition to heavy snow across the area, winds gusting as high as 40 mph will cause blowing and drifting, reducing visibilities making travel difficult. The latest road conditions are available at 511mn.org, or by calling 511.

From the National Weather Service this afternoon: Heavy snowfall continues to inch northward from southern Minnesota. Heavy snow will continue through the evening with snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour. Snow will begin to taper in intensity from mid evening onward.
