The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 9 pm Sunday night through 9 am Monday morning for portions of Central Minnesota including Stearns, Benton, Sherburne, Mille Lacs, and Morrison counties.

Precipitation will develop this evening in the advisory area. A period of freezing rain, sleet and snow, will change to rain, sleet or snow overnight, before ending Monday morning.

From the National Weather Service: Precipitation will rapidly develop over MN tonight, exiting western WI Monday morning. Heavy snow expected over northeast MN, with all rain in southern MN, and a snow to rain transition across central MN. When snow is falling, it will come down at a high rate, leading to difficult travel.
