In an age when most of us have our eyes glued to our phones and computers, it’s pretty rare for us to take the time to appreciate the finer things in life. It’s just too easy to sit on the couch with a bag of chips and watch Netflix. But there’s more to life than binge-watching your favorite series and chowing down on fast food.

Don’t get me wrong, I like my nice, comfortable, westernized lifestyle as much as the next person, but there are some things that are worth getting out of the house for. Among them is the “I Am Somali” art exhibit at Automotive Parts HQ in St. Cloud next week. Aziz Osman and Jan-Lodewijk Grootaers will be showcasing African and Somali art to the public.

They’ve both studied exotic art worldwide, so you’ll have the chance to be in the presence of two master artists (something you probably won’t get the chance to do ever again.) The exhibit happens February 27th, starting at 6 PM with a beer and wine reception, followed by a dinner at 7 and the program starting at 8. Tickets are payable at the door, and only cost $25.
