Halloween will most definitely look different this year, but that doesn't mean it will be void of candy and costumes altogether. Target has just announced that they will be hosting "Boo Avenue" a drive-thru Halloween celebration with themed treats and activities.

Our next trick: transforming select Target parking lots across the country into Boo Avenue drive-through experiences that’ll delight every ghost, ghoul and goblin. Think costumed cars, scary-fun activities and treats, of course—all from the comfort of your car.

Target executive vice president Eric Gomez said that Target is all about bringing joy to guests' everyday lives, and they wanted to create a fun way for families to celebrate Halloween safely.

The Boo Avenue event will be happening from 10 am - 1 pm on Halloween at select Target locations. Where are those locations in Minnesota? Unfortunately, us here in St. Cloud will need to take a little bit of a drive to get to the nearest one.

  • Maple Grove North
  • Plymouth
  • Waconia
  • Minnetonka
  • Blaine
  • Edina
  • Roseville (T1)
  • Richfield
  • St. Paul Midway
  • Savage
  • Apple Valley South
  • Woodbury East

We have two Target locations in St. Cloud, one of them is in a mall. I think our parking lots would have had plenty of space for this. Time to write a strongly worded letter to Eric Gomez I guess. Or host our own DIY Boo Avenue in the parking lot. We are resilient and innovative in Central Minnesota. We will make Halloween fun happen with or without a structured event.
