There's something special about gravel roads. I think that is why so many country singers write songs about them.

Growing up I was surrounded by paved roads, but we had a long gravel driveway that ran between them. With all the rain we had this summer, I was having terrible flashbacks of that gravel road washing out into our yard and having to rake it back. Nightmare fuel. My parents have since moved, and now their lake place is on a gravel road.

Living on a gravel road is a way of life. There are certain things that you just know or "get" when it comes to living on one.
