I know, I know, some people, most people would probably like a puppy.  But senior dogs do need homes and love, and sometimes these are the best pets.  If you have a laid back lifestyle, and would like a companion, a senior dog can be the perfect addition to your home and family.

Meet Brodie.  He is a 10 year old boxer mixed breed.  He loves to play, go for walks and get some much needed attention.  But, he also does take a lot of naps.

Brodie does will with other female dogs, but might do well with male dogs too... just need to do a doggie meet and greet if this is a pup that you are considering adopting; and you have other pets in the home.  It's not clear how well he does with kids and cats, so again, slow introductions would be a good idea.

Brodie is a little underweight, so a special diet has been introduced.

If you think this fun-loving guy would be the right fit for your home, you can contact the Tri-County Humane Society and get an introduction time set up.  You can also put a deposit down over the phone.

If you would like to donate to the humane society, you can do that as well.  Maybe that would be easier for you than adopting a pet.  Everyone gives and helps out in different ways, and maybe that's what you'd like to do. You can get all the info on how to donate here.
