Are Ugly Pumpkins The New Trend In Minnesota?

THAT'S ONE UGLY PUMPKIN!

Calling a pumpkin 'ugly' isn't very nice; but that's what these pumpkins are lovingly called by the people who prefer a pumpkin that doesn't look perfect like all the rest.

Many people believe that pumpkins are supposed to have a certain shape; a certain color and be perfectly round and orange before they are worth displaying. But; when you are looking for originality, you just might want to search the 'ugly' pumpkins to make things a bit more exciting.

UGLY PUMPKINS GALORE

Ferguson's Minnesota Harvest located in the Twin Cities is open until November 3rd, and say that they purposefully plant the 'imperfects' throughout their orchard.

The pumpkins that look different; some with warts, some green and orange. Some pumpkins are tiny and look like something that would come out of a witch's garden, are all different types of pumpkins and can really spruce up your decorating for fall.

WHAT KIND OF PUMPKINS DO YOU LIKE?

My Dad plants pumpkins, and I used to grab one pumpkin per family member, and have a Mom and Dad pumpkin and then three little pumpkins,but I never thought about going outside the 'orange pumpkin' zone.

This pumpkin could be a great ghostly pumpkin. It does sort of look like it's melting; or if you like playing Mario, it looks like those little Goomba!

This pumpkin looks like a tiny little purse! I don't know that I've ever even seen pumpkins that look like this, but just think what all these different sizes and variations could make for a really neat Fall display outside your home.

Fergusons says that all of the unique pumpkins are supposed to look the way they do. What is the cost of these pumpkins? Pumpkins are simply $4 for small pumpkins and $5 for the larger varieties, no matter what they look like.
