Cathedral Girls Soccer Falls at State; Boys Play Tonight
The Cathedral girls soccer team lost 4-0 to Winona Cotter Wednesday night in Monticello. Cotter will play Minnehaha Academy November 4th at 7pm at U.S. Bank Stadium. Cathedral's season comes to an end.
Paramount Getting Set for Full November Schedule
The Paramount Theatre is set for a full November schedule of shows. Gretchen Boulka is the Director of Performing Arts at the Paramount. She joined me on WJON this week. She says starting November 1st the Paramount is requiring a prove of COVID-19 vaccination or proof of a negative test.
St. Cloud Seeing More Vehicle Theft and Car Break-ins
St. Cloud police is reporting more vehicle thefts and car break-ins over the past few days. Alicia Mages from Tri-County Crimestoppers joined me on this week. She says they are seeing car thefts in all locations in the city not just the north side or south side.
Sartell Mayor Pushing For More Restaurants, Hotels
Sartell has become a destination spot for sports tournaments. Sartell Mayor Ryan Fitzthum joined me on WJON today. He says the city brings people to the community for tournaments often but many people leave for surrounding communities to stay in hotels and eat at restaurants.
Cathedral Girls Soccer in State Tourney Today
The St. Cloud Cathedral girls soccer team plays in the Class A State tournament quarterfinals in Monticello at 5:30 p.m. tonight against 3rd seeded Winona Cotter. Cathedral is unseeded.
St. Cloud Area Service Clubs Sponsoring Food Drive
Members of the Central Minnesota Optimists, Rotary, Kiwanis and Lions clubs are teaming up to host a food drive Thursday October 28th at Pathways4Youth headquarters located at 203 Cooper Avenue North in St. Cloud as part of a "Celebrate Community" project.
