City of St. Cloud Planning a Late February City Hall Grand Opening
The city of St. Cloud was hoping to be completely moved into their new city hall building at the end of January. Due to supply chain issues that has been moved from January 24th to the last city council meeting planned at the of February. Kleis says they are in need of connectors which is a technology issue.

[OPINION] Should Area Mayors Institute a Mask Mandate?
The city's of St. Paul and Minneapolis have instituted a mask mandate to deal with the increase in COVID-19 cases. CentraCare spokesman Dr. George Morris went to local civic leaders, which includes St. Cloud area mayors, to ask them to institute a mask mandate indoors at public places like restaurants, bars, grocery stores and retail establishments late last week.
Emmer Supports Vaccines But Not a Vaccine Mandate
Congressman Tom Emmer joined me on WJON today. He says the COVID-19 vaccines are "good" but the "sweeping and arbitrary mandates are unconstitutional". Emmer stopped short of predicting how the Supreme Court would rule in this case.
Another Vehicle Stolen in Waite Park
Waite Park Police is reporting a stolen vehicle off Park Meadows Drive. Alicia Mages from Tri-County Crimestoppers joined me on WJON. She says an individual went out to start their vehicle at 8am and when they returned the vehicle was gone.
Vikings Close Season with Win Over Chicago Bears
The Vikings rallied from a 14-3 halftime deficit to the Chicago Bears Sunday to win 31-17 at U.S. Bank Stadium to close the season 8-9.

Dr. Morris: Omicron Variant Is Forcing Positivity Rate Up
The COVID-19 Omicron variant is in the St. Cloud community. That according to CentraCare spokesman Dr. George Morris. Morris joined me on WJON today. He says of the people they have been testing in the past 2 weeks approximately 30% are testing positive for COVID-19.
Schmitt: Fishing is Still Good, No January Slump
The fishing locally is good. That's according to Glen Schmitt from Outdoor News. He joined me on WJON today. Schmitt says there can be a January slump but he's not seeing that right now. He says the fish are active and that includes blue gills, crappies and walleye.
