Alexandria Too Much For Tech in Boys Section Final
Alexandria defeated Tech 91-45 Thursday night in Willmar in the boys basketball section 8-3-A final. The Cardinals and Tigers split the two regular season meetings with the road team winning in each occasion.
Vehicle Break-In in Sartell; Burglaries in St. Cloud
The Sartell Police Department are reporting a theft from vehicle complaint on the 1700 block of Amber Avenue South. Alicia Mages from Tri-County Crimestoppers says someone went through a vehicle and stole some coins and a pair of Beats headphones.
Boys Basketball Section Results/Schedule; Foley and Albany Win
Foley defeated Cathedral 59-32 in the first round of the Section 6-2-A boys basketball playoffs Thursday night. The Falcons improves to 19-8 while Cathedral ends their season with an 11-16 record.
Boys Basketball Playoffs Results/Schedule; Sabres and Storm Fall
Both the Sartell-St. Stephen and Sauk Rapids-Rice boys basketball teams saw their seasons come to an end Wednesday night in the Section 8-4-A quarterfinals. The Sabres lost at top seeded Rogers 60-44 while Sauk Rapids-Rice fell at home to 5th seeded Moorhead 73-72 Wednesday night.
Albany, Holdingford Advance in Section Playoffs
Albany will play Holdingford in the girls basketball Section 6-2-A final Friday at St. Cloud State. The top seeded Huskies had no trouble with upset minded 12th seeded Annandale by posting a 78-34 win at St. John's Wednesday night.

When going for a walk this winter/spring you may have noticed some sidewalks with spray painted pink lines. St. Cloud Public Services Assistant Director Dan Legatt explains the reason for the hot pink spray paint is because these sidewalks are experiencing heaves or tree roots that have caused some unevenness.

The Granite City Train Show returns to the Rivers Edge Convention Center in St. Cloud this Saturday March 9 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. in the Glen Carlson Hall. Admission is $6 for adults and kids 10 and under get in free.

The Tech boys basketball team defeated Little Falls 82-56 in the Section 8-3-A Quarterfinals Tuesday night. The Tigers improve to 18-9 and will play at 2nd seeded Detroit Lakes at 7 p.m. Friday night. Tech is the #3 seed in the section.
