It's been 3 months.  3 months of nothing.  Mostly because I'm not great at home workouts.  This is why I go to the gym!  I mean, I did do the walking thing, tried some at home workouts, I'm just not consistent enough, and now I'm paying for that deal.  3 months and 10 pounds of "corona-weight".  UGH!

So, as the gyms opened up, even to a limited capacity, I was wondering how they were going to deal with the COVID guidelines.  When I normally go to the gym there aren't that many people there on a normal basis, so I wasn't anticipating it being any different even with the limit capacity.  I counted how many people were there...about 20.  No biggie.

As I got to the door, there was an employee wiping everything down with disinfectant.  They also are going around and doing that on a regular basis.  About every 20 minutes or so.

You can use the locker rooms, and that is also cleaned on a regular basis throughout the day.  Hand sanitizer is readily available too.  They always have had quite a few cleaning stations, but now they are clearly marked, and have also included some hand sanitizer at every station.

Every other cardio machine has been marked as "social fitnessing".  Which just keeps people apart from others working out on the same machines.  I'm ok with that even in normal circumstances.  Personal space is good.  I'd be fine if this went on forever.

If you normally drink from the fountain or fill your water bottle at the gym, this is no longer available.  You will need to bring your own filled water bottle.  You will also be expected to clean your weight machines and free weights with the cleaner provided with paper towels before and after use.

There are also some marked spots where an employee will stand and where a new potential gym member will stand to comply with social distancing guidelines.

However... it is SO good to be back to the gym.
