Central Minnesotans are mourning the loss of a face that became such a big part of their shopping experience at Sam's Club in St. Cloud/Sartell.
Sherry Bartkowicz passed away at age 59 on May 4th. Bartkowicz worked as a door greeter at Sam's Club and had hundreds of daily positive interactions with the store's guests, based on the nearly 100 comments on the store's Facebook post.

My wife even shared the story of Ms. Bartkowicz passing with me and added that she 'was always so kind and friendly, especially with our boys, who will be very sad to hear she is gone."

Janet:
She was very kind...always ready with a smile and warm greeting each time we visited Sam's Club.
JM:
I didn’t know Sherry personally, but each time I would walk by with my receipt ready there was never I time I didn’t see her smiling. Even on bad days I couldn’t help but think of how joyful this person was. Without knowing it, she was sunshine in a Sam’s Club smock. What a blessing!
Theresa:
I am surely going to miss our "Good morning Toots"Wether walking in the front door in the mornings or wherever we saw each other for the first time each morning at the club, Sherry and I would always greet each other with a cheerful "Good morning Toots!"
Sherry was the most beautiful soul. I can only believe they made a very special place for her in heaven. Even during the pandemic, she was there at Sam’s making everybody’s day a bit brighter. Rest in peace and rise in glory beautiful Sherry, you were such a blessing to me.
