It's just a matter of time before we are in the single digits for days to go until the Benton County Fair. The Benton County Fair runs this year from July 29th - August 3rd in Sauk Rapids. There is always something new to see or try at the annual right of summer here in Central Minnesota, but this year they are adding a new type of bar. Bloody Mary's anyone?

A Bloody Mary Bar Is Coming To The Fair

Make your fair day even better with a build-your-own Bloody Mary!
Available in the Beer Gardens – Thursday through Sunday, 11am to 2pm

The new bar will only be running from Thursday through Sunday, and will only be available in the afternoons, rather than the busier beer garden times that usually begin after 5pm.

The bar is being sponsored by some great local businesses, including:

  • Goodfella’s Bar & Grill
  • K&K Tire
  • McDonald’s Meats
  • Miller Auto Center
  • Performance Food Group

The cost of a Bloody Mary will be two tickets, as cash isn't accepted inside the beer gardens, so be sure to factor the extra ticket in when you are buying your beverage tickets, or you'll have to get back in line.

The Popularity of the Bloody Mary Continues To Grow

The St. Cloud area seems to be infatuated with the Bloody Mary. Not only are they adding a special bar for the Benton County Fair this year, but there have been festivals twice a year that feature competitions for the best mix and originality, as well as having a downtown Bloody Mary crawl two years ago.

A Sure Sign of Summer

Since we are talking about the Benton County Fair, that just means we are entering into the best part of summer, County Fair Season! It's a time where sleeves become optional, and you throw your diet out the window because cheese curds and mini-donuts at 10am are just fine when you're on County Fair time.

Since we are on the topic of food...
