From Heartbreak To Helping Cats In Need- Cat Cooler Shelters
Now and then, you plan on writing a story about one thing, and it turns out to be something you never imagined it would be. This is one of those stories.
Recently, I was on Princeton, Minnesota's Bulletin Board Facebook page, and saw a picture showing stacks of Cat Coolers. I was intrigued and wanted to know what Cat Coolers were for, who was creating them, and why. I also wanted to know where people could get one if they needed one.
CAT COOLER SHELTERS DESIGNED TO PROVIDE SAFETY & WARMTH
First, you should know that these Cat Coolers have been designed to help shelter feral cats during the winter. If you know that feral cats are living near you, and you want to help them find warmth through the cold winter months, these cat coolers can provide that warmth they need to survive the winter. There are a few left. If you would like one, just click HERE for more information and to find out if there is one available for you.
The Cat Coolers were created by a young woman who has always had a love for cats, but needed to find an escape after a devastating loss.

WHEN THE UNIMAGINABLE HAPPENS
Nichol and her mother were best friends. A few years ago, they had just put the finishing touches on a home that they built together when the unimaginable happened.
Her mother was driving and was t-boned by a UPS Semi and killed. As you can imagine, Nichols' life went up in smoke. She not only lost her mother and best friend, but she also lost her home.
Nichol now was facing life without the one person that was always there for her; that she laughed and cried with, and without her mother, and being so lost and devastated, she soon after lost the home that they had built.

FINDING THE STRENGTH TO MOVE ON
Nichol, trying to gain the strength to move on, not just for her but because her mother would have wanted her to, started volunteering at Furball Farm Cat Sanctuary.
While she was there, she started painting pictures of some of those beautiful cats that she was pouring herself into. She paints acrylic on canvas, and they are lovely.
THEY CALL HER 'THE CAT WHISPERER'
Soon afterwards, she found out about a group of people who were making the Cat Cooler Shelter houses, so Nichol, often referred to as 'The Cat Whisperer', started creating these shelters. She started helping people find their missing felines and started rescuing cats in need.
A STORY OF LOVE ON SO MANY LEVELS
This story is one of love in so many ways. When finding a door or window had been closed, Nichol fought through her pain to find purpose and found a love in helping lost cats and kittens.
She is based in the Elk River area and wants people to know that if you are looking for a Cat Cooler Shelter, you can reach out, and if she has any left available, she is happy to help.
FINDING YOUR WAY THROUGH THE PAIN
If you are in pain, if you've lost someone, I hope that this story can help you find a way to something on the other side of the pain that gives you purpose, love, and happiness.
Thank you, Nichol, for sharing your story with us.
