CentraCare is experiencing a phone system outage impacting incoming and outbound calls at most of its facilities throughout the region Wednesday morning.

Recreational marijuana became legal in Minnesota August 1st. Stearns County Sheriff Steve Soyka joined me on WJON to discuss what, if anything has changed. He says they have seen limited changes in the amount of marijuana issues since the law change which he says is a "good thing".

The City of St. Cloud continues to work with the Lincoln Center in regards to the homeless encampment located on the Lincoln Center property. St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis addressed a listener call on WJON's Radio Town Hall Meeting Friday morning. He says nothing has changed in the past 2 weeks in regards to this.

Between 4:00 and 4:30 Thursday morning, a pickup and trailer were stolen from a home in the 13800 block of 78th Street NE near Ronneby.

During its meeting on Tuesday, the St. Cloud Economic Development Authority will get an update on the Downtown Exterior Improvement Program.

This is the first time in 30 years that the turkey chosen to be pardoned is from Jennie-O, which is a part of the Hormel company

St. Cloud has many road projects in progress. St. Cloud Public Services Director Tracy Hodel joined me on WJON for an update. She indicates the Cooper Avenue South project to Traverse road is on schedule and should open in October.

An Avon man has been charged in a fatal crash near Clear Lake where his car slammed into the back of another car at a high rate of speed.

The St. Cloud Police Department are reporting a stolen bike on the 100 block of 3rd Avenue Northeast. Alicia Mages from Tri-County Crimestoppers indicates the owner saw a black male with a slender build who was between 5'8 and 5'11 wearing a black shirt with blue jeans take the bike.

Temperatures and winds ramp up Wednesday ahead of a strong cold front, which will be the focus for afternoon showers and thunderstorms.
