THE GARLIC CELEBRATION BEGINS!

I've wanted to attend this for years now, and it just snuck up on me.

The Minnesota Garlic Festival is happening this Saturday, August 10th, 2024 in Hutchinson.

THE MINNESOTA GARLIC FESTIVAL

The Minnesota Garlic Festival is a one-day event that takes place from 10 am until 5 pm at the McLeod County Fairgrounds that features delicious food, celebrity chefs, live music, area artisans, fun games, and of course, lots and lots of garlic! It's all in support of a healthy environment and vital rural communities in Minnesota.

LIMITED AVAILABLE POSTERS

This year there is a framable print of the Minnesota Garlic Festival poster that will be available for purchase in the Sustainable Farming Association booth. There are only 100 posters available so grab yours early if you're interested.

Since the beginning of the Minnesota Garlic Festival, they have kicked off the day with a bulb toss, and the official tasting of the Garlic Bloody Mary.

Music will be performed by the 'Light of the Moon Band' and the one and only 'Precocious Prancing Parader of the Peculiar Pragmatic Promenade', (aka Marienne Kreitlow). She is described as part poet, priestess, prankster, and perennially peculiar. She even has an album entitled “Garlic and Other Forces of Nature' with the top four songs ever written about garlic. (I guess that's one way to get to the top of the charts).

There will be many other entertainers and you can check out the full list by clicking HERE now.

The Garlic Buds Kids Tent will be open from 10 am until 4 pm as well with free activities for the kids.

Come and make your own kite. Kite Making and Flying will happen from 1 pm to 4 pm.
