Clean Up Efforts For Cold Spring Park To Enter 3rd Year Of Work
COLD SPRING (WJON News) -- The clean-up efforts for a forgotten Cold Spring park is gearing up for the final year of a three-year project. About 25 ROCORI FFA students have been working to clean up Lookout Park for the past two years removing buckthorn, cleaning graffiti, and clearing hiking paths.
The FFA is hosting a hog roast on Saturday to help raise money to go towards the clean-up effort. The event will have a bucket raffle, and silent auction in addition to the food. FFA Advisor Ryan Sabo says FFA is important for schools by providing students with leadership, personal growth, and career success through projects like the Lookout Park rehabilitation work.

The hog roast takes place at the Olde Coliseum in Richmond from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday. The cost is $15 for adults, $8 for kids ages 5 to 10, and free for kids under 5.
