Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. I think I’ve mentioned that a few times. I love the family hanging out together, the time off work, watching some football, and the food — especially the food.

My wife is an amazing cook. I can’t think of a Thanksgiving where she didn’t make us all feel full and want to take that turkey day nap. But I also know that cooking that food is a time-consuming process and that she does it because she loves her family. I know there’s got to be moments where she’s like, I don’t want to do this. But she does.

I’m sure there are a lot of people that think that way and if there’s ever a year you just say to yourself, I don’t want to do this, COVID 2020 is the year.

There are other options. You can take the day off from cooking this year and the family can still enjoy a good Thanksgiving meal -- it’s just going to cost a little more.

Delivery is an option. There a quite a few places that will deliver an entire Thanksgiving meal to your house and you just have to heat it up. But it’s going to cost you at least twice as much. But can you put a price tag on convenience during COVID 202?

Typically, a Thanksgiving meal costs around $50. That would feed about 4 people, and still give you Thanksgiving leftovers. I don’t know about you, but that’s important because another great thing about Thanksgiving is the leftovers for days.
