Shortly after being diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer, Eddie Money has passed away at the age of 70.

Born Edward Mahoney, Eddie was known for his hits "Shakin',", "Two Ticket To Paradise", "Take Me Home Tonight", "I Think I'm In Love", "Baby Hold On To Me" and more.

Variety released a statement from his family: “The Money Family regrets to announce that Eddie passed away peacefully early this morning. It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our loving husband and father. We cannot imagine our world without him. We are grateful that he will live on forever through his music.”

I had the pleasure of interviewing him about 10 years ago, I remember that he loved to use the line "Get your two tickets to paradise and come see me in concert". I think he must have said that like 3 or 4 times. He was a nice man.

Rest In Peace Eddie.
