Central Minnesota Author Lands on ‘USA Today’ Bestseller List
Sometimes the most powerful stories come from the deepest heartbreak.
For Liz, the journey that led to her book 'Flowers Bloom Anyway' began during one of the most painful seasons of her life...the loss of her husband. In the middle of overwhelming grief, Liz was trying to figure out how to move forward while caring for their young child and navigating a future she never expected.
WHAT IF THIS HAPPENED TO YOU?
Just after her husband’s funeral, Liz discovered she was pregnant with their second child.
Although Liz felt like this was going to be impossible to get through, she knew she had to move forward, not just for herself, but for her daughter and the child she was carrying inside. Liz could only do ONE thing at that moment. She picked up a notebook and started journaling. She wanted to make sure she could remember as much as possible about her husband, so that she could share how wonderful he was with his children.

JOURNALING BECAME THE LIFELINE THAT LIZ NEEDED
Liz says journaling became her lifeline.
Day after day, she wrote. Sometimes it was just a few sentences. Sometimes it was pages filled with raw emotion, questions, memories, and moments of hope, followed by moments of helplessness and utter rage. The act of putting her thoughts on paper helped her process grief, celebrate love, and take the next small step forward.
Those pages eventually became the foundation for her book, 'Flowers Bloom Anyway'.
The title itself reflects the heart of Liz’s message: even in the darkest seasons, life still finds ways to grow. Pain and beauty can exist in the same space, and healing often comes slowly...one honest moment at a time.
Now, that message is reaching readers across the country.
