Football Team Shows Up At Kid’s Party After Only One Classmate RSVP’s

Lindsay Larsen in Idaho had sent out invitations for her son Christian's 9th birthday party a couple of months ago. When only one girl RSVP'd. She posted her feelings on Facebook, not really blaming anyone but just how sad she thought the situation was.
The local high school coach heard about it and decided to get his football players to come out. The players were all about it. So the team showed up and it made Christian's day.
I can relate to this story as the same sort of thing (minus football players) happened to my daughter when she was around 6 or 7 years old. That's when we stopped having "parties" and focused more on creating memories for her like taking her to "special" places with one or two good friends and not inviting a entire class.
