If you recall, back on September 2nd, we told you about a family's desperate need to find their furry friend Ferdinand. The family was urgently requesting our help as they were moving within the week, and they wanted to find their sweet cat and reunite before the move.

The last time they had seen Ferdinand was at 2nd Street and Riverside near Sartell. Ferdinand had been missing since August 15th, 2025, and the family was hoping, at the very least, that a sweet person or family found him and decided to care for him.  They were hoping that someone would see our story and come forward, as Ferdinand was not just ANY cat. He had a special gift. He was the family's support cat for a family member.

Ferdinand was born in April of 2024, and the owners have had him since his birth. He was bottle-fed by the owner and had never been separated from his owner for this amount of time.

UPDATE

I was so excited when my cell phone chirped at me this morning. Ferdinand has been found! Here is what the owner told me:

"I had genuinely given up hope. But something in me told me to check the Tri-County Humane Society website again. I scrolled through adopted pets and there he was! Under the name 'Stanley.'

Turns out, someone had seen him outside, picked him up, and tried to keep him as a pet. For whatever reason, they decided they couldn't handle him, and they surrendered him to TCHS. So, after 29 days and 23 hours, my baby is finally home!

They had me check to confirm he was my cat, and as soon as I scooped him up out of that cage, he began purring and giving my face kisses. There was no denying he was my cat. I'm so blessed to have my baby back home.'

We are so glad that Ferdinand is back home, and we want to thank everyone who was keeping an eye out for this lost kitty in Sartell. He looks pretty happy to be back home!
