Scrolling through Facebook today I stumbled upon a set of photos showing a giant Ferris wheel in Downtown Minneapolis. I've strolled the Nicollet Mall area many a time and there has never been a giant carnival ride in the middle of the street before.

It was put up as part of the NCAA Final Four events taking over the area. The games take place at US Bank Stadium, but you don't need a ticket to get in to have some fun.

The Tip-Off Tailgate starts Friday on Nicollet Mall. You will not be able to miss the Ferris wheel erected in the middle of the street, which is free to ride. Free music and other entertainment will also take place throughout the weekend.

The free Ferris wheel  isn't the only big thing going on. The Minneapolis Convention Center has been turned into a Final Four Fan Fest which is basically all sports everywhere with interactive games and appearances by athletes and celebrities.

While tickets to see the Final Four games might be out of the budget, watching the teams practice is totally free to watch on Friday at US Bank Stadium.

Final Four games start on Saturday at 5 PM and the championship game will be Monday at 8 PM.
