Cheap Trick Cancels, Rick Springfield Steps in at the Great Midwest Ribfest

Who would you rather see while you are enjoying a bunch of delicious ribs?  Cheap Trick or Rick Springfield?  Cheap Trick wound up cancelling on the headlining position for the Great Midwest Ribfest going on next weekend at Mystic Lake Casino.  So, Rick Springfield has stepped in to take their place.  Springfield has been touring all over the place recently, so it made sense when he had a spot in his schedule and Cheap Trick cancelled, that he would step in.

This fun event is happening next weekend at Mystic Lake Casino in Prior Lake.  And look at this - admission if FREE!

Thursday, June 25 | 4 PM – 10 PM
Friday, June 26 | 4 PM – 10 PM
Saturday, June 27 | 1 PM – 10 PM

The ribs are hot, the drinks are cold and the music is free during The Great Midwest Rib Fest! Come see award-winning pitmasters competing for thousands in prizes. Get ready for three days of outdoor concerts at summer's ultimate pig-nic!

WHAT ELSE IS GOING ON DURING THE RIBFEST EVENT

There is a stage with several musical acts performing at all times.  Some of the artists that will be performing include the aformentioned Rick Springfield on June 27th, Old Crow Medicine Show, Drew Holcomb, The Neighbors, Gabby Barrett, Parmalee and The Suburbs.

Make sure to check the website for more information on when each of these artists will be taking the stage.

There will also be a rib eating contest.  I know a few people who would be amazing at that event.
