Kids Can Level Up Their Reading At The Library This Summer
ST. CLOUD (WJON News) -- Kids all over Central Minnesota can take part in a fun reading contest over the summer. The Great River Regional Library (GRRL) is kicking off its 2025 Summer Reading Challenge on Monday.

The theme this year is "Level Up at Your Library," and is based on games, puzzles, and encouraging kids to think in new ways. Kids ages 0 - 18 can take part by registering on the Beanstack App or visiting their local GRRL branch. Participants track their reading using the app or by dropping off slips at their library. There are prize drawings at the end of the challenge, and each branch has an assortment of prizes as well.
The mission of the summer reading challenge is to encourage children to read during the summer months, and last year, GRRL had over 13,400 kids take part. Registration starts on Monday and the contest runs until August 9th.
