Should we even bother saying the word 'nutrition' when we are talking about Halloween candy? Well...considering the amount of candy that our family may be consuming this Halloween, which is just the first sweet stop of the holiday season..It might do a body good to be aware.
Here's the list of best to worst Halloween candies based on nutritional values.
GUMMY WORMS: Trolli Sour Brite Crawlers. 8 gummy worms come in at only 100 calories with 14 grams of sugar. Since thy are chewy, you'll also eat them more slowly.
REESE'S PEANUT BUTTER CUPS: One peanut butter cup has 110 calories; but it also has 11 grams of protein and one gram of fiber. If you go for the individually wrapped ones, you can keep your intake in check.
BLOW POPS: These little suckers have lots of sugar at 13 grams, but they are only 70 calories.
SNICKERS: 4 Snickers minis equal 170 calories and 18 grams of sugar, plus they also have 3 grams of protein and one gram of fiber. If you can manage to just eat two of them, you'll knock your sugar intake down to less than 10 grams.
