The Minnesota town that claims to be the "home of bigfoot" is welcoming everyone to their annual Bigfoot Days celebration on July 9th and 10th. Remer, Minnesota is a town of only 370 people that will be a busy place with 48 hours of fun events for the whole family.

The fun starts Friday with a beer garden, food, and a bonfire in town. There will also be Bigfoot Teams storytelling, and the Bigfoot Olympics.

Saturday brings a flea market to town, there will be a 5K, a scavenger hunt, and a kids bigfoot calling contest. If you have a kid that likes to be loud, this is their chance to shine. A Bigfoot BBQ competition, Bigfoot bingo, a Bigfoot meat raffle, and the event wrap up with an adult Bigfoot calling contest.

Overall, if you love Bigfoot, or are looking for a fun smalltown festival, Remer is the place to be this weekend.

Labeling the town as "The Home of Bigfoot" actually started with city council member Marc Ruyak. Marc told the Finding Bigfoot crew from Animal Planet hat he grew up learning about the history of the town, and how the town founder discovered Bigfoot tracks in the early 1900s. The whole goal with this label was to make the town a hub for Bigfoot enthusiasts, a place where people could gather and share their stories with like-minded people.
