The 2021 Benton County Fair gets underway today. If you're planning on attending, you might want to leave your pet at home because they're not welcome.

According to the official Benton County Fair Facebook page, pets will need to stay home. However, service animals are permitted.

They wrote, "Just a friendly reminder to leave your pets at home when you are planning on visiting the fair. Service animals are welcome. Thank you in advance for your understanding and support."

The only animals you'll be seeing at the farm will be in the barn area and petting zoo.

And, it makes sense. But, if I were a dog, I'd love the fairgrounds...so much free food laying around on the ground just waiting to be licked up! It would be a dog's dream.

So, you've been warned. You can't bring your pets to the fair or you'll be asked to leave.

The Benton County Fair is underway now through Sunday, August 8 in Sauk Rapids, MN.
