
Prep Sports Scores – Saturday, January 3rd
Highlighting Saturday's high school sports action, the Sartell Sabres Boys' Hockey team edged out Buffalo 2 -1. Sartell took the early lead in the first period when Devin Jacobs scored just 1:49 into the period. The Sabres' Caleb Thompson pushed the lead to 2 at t 12:23 in, and it was 2-0 after one. The second period saw no scoring, so it was still 2-0 after two. Sartell held the 2-0 lead until Buffalo's Russell Ylitalo lit the lamp 15:52 into the 3rd to cut the margin to 2-1, but the Sabres were able to hold on for the win.
