We have all been hearing about some businesses that have closed temporarily because they don't want ICE agents coming into their restaurant or business looking for illegals.  They also don't want protests happening outside of their businesses because it will deter people from coming in to their establishments.  Also - let's be honest, but people are scared.  It's just a scary time right now.

I found this post and now it seems more real.  Most everything that people have been seeing has been in the Twin Cities area.  Tacoholic, if you are not familiar, is located in St. Joseph. Yes, there have been some sightings closer to home, but the hub of this is mostly in the Twin Cities.

To our Tacoholic family:
Due to the ongoing situation in Minnesota and concerns for the safety and well-being of our team and community, we’ve made the difficult decision to close our doors for now. Our hearts are with everyone affected by what’s happening right now. Thank you for your amazing support and understanding. We’ll keep you updated and look forward to serving you again one day

No matter what your opinion is on this, it's sad when businesses feel the need to close because of their safety, and the safety of their customers.  Who knows how long this will last - and there are many businesses in the metro who have closed recently on a temporary basis. It almost feels the same as it did during the COVID shutdown.  Not something we want to have happen, but here we are again.  With COVID shutdowns at least they were kind of open, this is just straight up closed with a major loss to revenue.

Our economy is suffering.  Again, no matter your opinion on this, that is a fact.
