50 Hackable PINs That People In Minnesota Must Stop Using Now
Experts repeatedly tell us to be careful when choosing a PIN, which is the personal identification number that we use as a security measure for a variety of things.
While four-digit PINs are most commonly used for verifying identity and accessing accounts, specifically financial ones like debit cards and bank accounts, they are also used for many other things, like mobile phone security, home security systems, accessing websites or applications, and more.
However, despite all the warnings about selecting a PIN, an ABC News report shockingly revealed that almost 1 in 10 people are using the same four-digit PIN.
In 2024, the population of Minnesota was 5.793 million, which means that roughly 579,000 people are currently using the same four-digit PIN for security. That must make hackers very happy.

So, how do you know what PIN will reduce your chances of being hacked? Well, a good start would be to look at the ABC News list of the 50 most-used PINs. Hackers likely have this data handy, too, so if you're using a PIN on the list below, it would be a great idea to change it.
