This weather is insane. The rollercoaster of temperatures continues here in Minnesota. We've had record-breaking heat in May. The fishing opener was too hot for some people to even handle. I can't remember a fishing opener in the mid-90s like we had this weekend.

Now, this high-pressure system that has been hanging over Minnesota is moving on, and with it are the warm temperatures. This weekend, the extreme Northwest of Minnesota could actually see snow. In fact, it's in the forecast.

I first saw the potential snow from the weather team at Bring Me The News. They say it's totally possible we could see snow, and the National Weather Service even has it in their weekend forecast from the Grand Forks, North Dakota office.

Temperatures in Northwest Minnesota are expected to be 80 degrees on Thursday with showers likely. Then the temperature will drop significantly on Thursday night down to the mid-40s. Friday will be cooler in the mid-50s, and then Friday night is when there is a chance for snow. At Hallock Municipal Airport, Friday night's temperature will reach 35 degrees at the ground level, and that could bring snow. There's a 70% chance of a rain/snow mix.

It's unlikely anything will stick to the ground, and no doubt it will melt quickly. But how strange is this? 90 degrees just two days before potential snowfall. That's why they say if you don't like the weather around here, just wait half an hour.
