Something is calming and mesmerizing about staring up at the moon and stars, isn't there? Especially if you can get way out in the country, where there are no city lights, and the Milky Way is visible, looking like a celestial path taking you across the universe.

If you are willing to just sit and look up, there's always something magical happening in the nighttime sky. Mark your calendars so you don't miss Sundays event.

HOW TO WATCH THE BLOOD SUPERMOON IN SEPTEMBER

The eclipse will be visible to people in the United States late on September 7th and into the early hours of September 8th, 2025. If the skies are clear, we should be able to view every phase of the total lunar eclipse.

Since we live in the Midwest, we will probably see things a bit differently, but those who live on the East coast are supposedly going to see the moon super high in the sky, while those living on the West coast will see the action near moonrise or moonset.

THE BEST WAY TO VIEW THE BLOOD SUPERMOON

WION says you should be able to view the Blood Supermoon with the naked eye; however, if you've got binoculars or a telescope, dig them out, as there will be details that you'll be able to see while Earth's shadow moves across the Moon.

85% of the Earth's population should be able to view this extraordinary event, so let's hope for a clear evening, and remember to get outside with our family and friends for a spectacular show in our evening sky.
