If you are a fan of Costco and if you love to buy in bulk, it's a great option. The CEO just dropped some news that will have everyone talking. Recently, the CEO of Costco hopped on the viral trend of CEOs eating a signature menu item on video, and while he was enjoying Costco's number 1 menu item, he dropped some news that will have you smiling.

Most Popular Menu Item At Costco

Since 1985 this Costco item hasn't changed in price, and that makes it not only Minnesota's favorite Costco menu item, but also it's the number one menu item ordered at Costco's across America. It's the iconic and simple $1.50 Costco hot dog.

Inflation Has Affected Plenty Of Prices, Including Food

If you've gone through any drive-thrus in the last few months, you've probably had sticker shock at just how expensive fast food is, on average a Big Mac meal at McDonald's will cost you roughly $9.50, and it's higher in New England and on the West Coast. Burger King's Whopper meal averages the same, somewhere between $9-$11. Multiply that times 4 if you've got your family with you, and that becomes a pretty hefty bill for something that used to cost us less than $25 a decade ago.

Costco's CEO Has Some Great News

The Costco CEO, Ron Vachris, on Wednesday, hopped on the viral trend of CEOs enjoying a signature item while on video. While he was enjoying the $1.50 hot dog, he was asked if the price of the hot dog would be going up, and he was firm in his answer.

"The hot dog price will not change as long as I'm around".

That means shoppers at Costco will have peace of mind knowing that their favorite meal at Costco won't be going up in price, even in the face of everything else seemingly costing more, and that's something we can all get behind.
