This Minnesota School Just Got Money From Morgan Wallen

I've been wondering about this ever since Morgan Wallen wrapped up his two-night stop at U.S. Bank Stadium in April.

What Minnesota school is getting the benefit of those sold-out concerts through the Morgan Wallen Foundation?

After Morgan Wallen's 'Still The Problem Tour' made its stop in Minneapolis, a lot of fans knew that a portion of every ticket sold was being donated through the Morgan Wallen Foundation. What nobody seemed to know was exactly where those Minnesota dollars were going.

So we decided to ask.

We reached out to Morgan Wallen's team to find out whether a Minnesota school had been selected and, if so, which one. They were kind enough to respond, and now we have the answer.

Washington Technology Middle School in St. Paul is receiving $32,000 worth of musical instruments and accessories through the Morgan Wallen Foundation's Tour Give Back program! Yes! $32,000!

WHAT INSTRUMENTS WILL THE SCHOOL RECEIVE?

According to Wallen's team, the school's music department will receive violins, violas, alto saxophones, flutes, cellos, and other much-needed instruments and accessories. Rather than simply writing a check, the foundation is putting instruments directly into the hands of students who will use them for years to come.

HOW DOES THIS PROGRAM WORK?

During Morgan Wallen's tour, a portion of every concert ticket sold went directly into the Morgan Wallen Foundation. Those funds were then used to provide musical instruments to schools in communities where Wallen performed.

$1 MILLION WORTH OF INSTRUMENTS DONATED

The foundation told us that more than $1 million worth of instruments has now been donated to 26 schools in need across cities on the tour. The logistics of getting the instruments to the schools are handled by Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation, a nonprofit that has spent decades helping school music programs by providing instruments to students who might otherwise go without.

I think that's a pretty meaningful way to give back. For many school districts, music budgets have always been stretched thin, and quality instruments can be incredibly expensive. Receiving new instruments could make a real difference for students who want to learn but don't have access to the equipment they need. I remember my parents bought me a used flute...but it still cost them a pretty penny. I bought all three of my sons' saxophones... and wow! They were expensive even back then.

HELPING COMMUNITIES IN CRISIS

The donations are just one part of what the Morgan Wallen Foundation does. The organization supports youth programs focused on both music and athletics while also helping communities with essential needs during times of crisis.

The goal is to create opportunities for young people, whether that's through sports, music education, or community support.

THIS IS A GOOD TIME FOR MORGAN'S CAREER TOO!

The charitable effort came during one of the biggest tours of Wallen's career. His latest tour sold out 23 stadium shows across North America, including two nights at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on April 10th and 11th of, 2026.

Along the way, Wallen made history at several venues while his latest album, 'I'm The Problem', continues its impressive run at the top of the Billboard charts.

It's always nice to hear what happens after the lights go down and the last encore ends. In this case, thousands of Minnesota concertgoers helped provide $32,000 worth of instruments that will soon be making music in Minnesota!
